
Gail Errington
Gail has 17 years’ experience as a child accident prevention practitioner. She has worked as co-ordinator on local injury prevention programmes in the north-east of England gaining skills in community engagement, advocacy and partnership working. From 1996 – 2005 she was based at the University of Newcastle working on the National Childhood Injury Prevention and Promotion of Safety programme.
She has conducted and published a number of reviews on the effectiveness of injury interventions. She has a keen interest in education and training and was co-tutor for the National Certificate in Unintentional Injury Prevention delivered in conjunction with CAPT. She currently provides research consultancy services and has been a CAPT trainer for three years.
Andrea Woolley
Andrea Woolley has long experience in accident and ill-health prevention. Having worked as an accident and emergency nurse she then took an occupational safety and health degree.
She has long specialised specifically in child accident prevention, risk management and paediatric first aid, providing advice, education and training widely within the childcare sector for CAPT, local authorities, schools and universities, Children’s Centres, childminders, GPs, and health centres among others.
Andrea’s training is underpinned with relevant, targeted and practical outcomes and examples which can be applied by participants in their work situations.
